There's no question: technology, with all its perks, presents complications for those growing up in the digital age.

To support parents and students with some of those issues that "probe into the vulnerable corners of family life," ISS and the Parent Association bring the school and Stavanger community the award-winning documentary: SCREENAGERS. Trailer: vimeo.com/215750447

SCREENAGERS dives deep into how technology impacts kids' development and the challenges of parenting in the digital world where parents must compete with video games, texting addiction, and social media.

With insights from authors, psychologists, and brain scientists, SCREENAGERS also offers solutions on how adults can empower kids to best navigate the digital world and find balance.

WHAT: Screenagers Movie
WHEN: Wednesday, 11 April
TIME: 18:00
WHERE: ISS Theatre

As the website states, "Because screen time crosses into all aspects of kids' lives, SCREENAGERS is all about bringing people together to experience the movie and have discussions afterwards—discussions that promote lasting change."

ISS will offer a special MORNING CONNECTIONS (parent session) on Thursday, 12 April at 8:45 am facilitated by our Director of Technology, Learning & Innovation, Aaron Tyo-Dickerson. Open to non-ISS parents as well!

Please spread the word, grab a friend/neighbour/child and join us for this unique community event.
